    How to delete records from CMDB???

    I don't think one can delete the records from ca cmdb .However I already see an idea for this CMDB cleanup utlity, remove old cmdb data which you can vote up for.

    Manjunatha, out of box, you can create and use some archive/purge rules to archive and purge some CMDB data. For

    example, CMDB CI log, CMDB CI Inactive Transitions etc. However, if you are thinking about CIs/assets them self, it

    could be a bit tricky as those data are shared by other products so purge them is not a good idea, I think. You could use

    pdm_load to make some inactive but delete them from DBMS is not a good idea, I think.

    Chi is correct here - we NEVER recommend deleting any data from the MDB besides using the archive and purge rules.  The reason is because there may be other applications' data or other tables/data referencing the records that are deleted, which leaves dangling references in the database - which is technically data corruption. We would recommend that you inactivate records, but not delete them.
