  • 1.  Is there some monitoring solution for JBoss EAP 7.x running on Red Hat Linux 7.x ?

I've identified several customers looking for a monitoring solution for JBoss EAP 7

Most of them are running JBoss EAP on RHEL 7.x

    I didn't find a compatibility matrix.

Do somebody know if this is supported or if there are some short term plans to support it ?

    Thanks!!

Thank you Hallett, but the question remains the same.

I know this is a bit confusing because of the names.

JBoss EAP 6 is architecturally similar to JBoss 7 AS.

JBoss EAP 7 is architecturally similar to Wildfly 9/10.

    i.e.

JBoss EAP 6 has a built-in Tomcat engine for web profile.

JBoss EAP 7 uses Undertow instead. Which is completely different.

Datasource MBeans and statistics are slightly different between EAP 6 an 7.

    Hi Mario,

Hal provided the current non-support status for JBoss EAP 7 and for future reference the APM Compatibility Guides can be found here: CA Application Performance Management Compatibility Guides - CA Technologies

I note that Wildfly 10 is supported in latest 10.5.1 Agent, so the fact that JBoss EAP 7 is based on Wildfly 10 means it is possible that an acceptable level of monitoring might be possible for JBoss EAP 7 even though it is not officially supported yet. Hope that helps
