Can we use an alternative third party reporting tool (That we have skills in e.g. Qlik) to generate reports other than Jaspersoft? We are having difficulty finding people with Jaspersoft skills.

Why not if you are on premise and have access  to  the db.

You need to figure how you want to launch your reports from CA PPM and how to set and pass parameters and seccurity on the  reports and data.

All that is doable and up to the skill and imagination of the  developer.

    Hi Tim,

We have a vast experience in Jaspersoft and have done lot of work in different sectors. Please visit our website www.helicaltech.com for more information.

Already possible, we are a SaaS PPM customer (5000 users) actively using Tableau for the majority of our executive dashboards. Reach out directly, I can tell you which vendor we used and give a quick demo if you'd like.

How do you get db access if you are on SAAS?

    OK thanks Dave_3.0

I've seen the thread and looked at it again.

If I understood it right the db with JDBC connection  and at least with Oracle with some jars.

Agreed doable for the skilled, but much trickier than with on premise for less experienced.

If you've got the cash use tableau.

I wrote a quick guide to getting started here
