    What runtime libraries are needed for EEM on Linux Redhat 7.2? I've added bzip2 32bit, and glibc-32bit-2.22-4.3.1.x86_64. I'm hoping there is a list that I've overlooked.

    I am aware of the requirement of the  32-bit libuuid package, however I don’t see RHEL7 in the supported OS list?

    Common Components says that it supports Redhat 7

    CA Common Components Operating System Support - CA Workload Automation AE & Workload Control Center - CA Technologies Do…

    "

    The CA Common Components support the following Linux versions:

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (x86 32-bit and 64-bit)
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (x86 32-bit and 64-bit)
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7 (64-bit)"

    Ok, this one is clear.

    12.51 CR04 - CA Embedded Entitlements Manager - 12.51 - CA Technologies Documentation

    EEM Server Support on RHEL7, OEL7, and SUSE12

    Modified and Certified the EEM r12.51 CR04 Server to run on the following operating systems:

    • RHEL7
    • OEL7
    • SUSE12

    To install EEM from C3 the following Linux packages are required.

    • compat-libstdc++-33
    • ncurses 5 (32bit ) [example: ncurses-devel-32bit-5.9-40.124.x86_64]
    • glibc-32bit (version 2.3 or higher for Linux kernel 2.6 or higher)
    • libuuid1-32bit

    Yes, my EEM isn't installing, because the iGateway isn't installed.

    It turns out I need a 32bit version of  libuuid, mine is 64bit. But yum doesn't want to install it.

    Protected multilib versions: libuuid-2.23.2-33.el7_3.2.i686 != libuuid-2.23.2-26.el7.x86_64

    CR05 is, allegedly, available and converts igateway to 64 bit.

    per the webcast

    EEM 12.51 CR05 server is 64bit-only, but backward compatible with 12.51 pre-CR05 32bit/64bit SDK.

    On UNIX/Linux EEM 12.51 CR05 server upgrade (through CA Common Components 11.3.6 SP6) is seamless. On Windows, one should remove the 32bit EEM first (of course backing up their applications and policies) and install EEM 12.51 CR05.

    As for the "Protected multilib versions: libuuid-2.23.2-33.el7_3.2.i686 != libuuid-2.23.2-26.el7.x86_64" , try this first, please:

    # yum update libuuid

    (This updates your existing 64bit libuuid to libuuid-2.23.2-33.el7_3.2)

    # yum install libuuid*.i686

    (This will install the 32bit libuuid)

    Thank you,

    Hi Chris,

    Were able to install EEM server on the Linux server after installing prereq libraries? If yes, please choose the response you deem correct and mark this as answered.

    Thank you,

    With the release of 11.3.6sp6 (which includes EEM12.51CR5) EEM and igateway are 64bit , so why do we still need to install the 32bit compatibility libraries on RHEL7.2/7.3 to get the installer to run?

    I'm confused, is something still 32bit that you are not disclosing?

    Thanks, Andrew
