    I have an error message when trying to access Target Permissions in CA Identity Portal (12.6, version 42)

    The page is displaying, but when I check the http request, one is failing (http://sgepiamap2:8080//sigma/rest/admin/permission?1497992167909 ) with such error :

    {"exceptions":[{"exceptionClassName":"com.idmlogic.sigma.errorhandling.exceptionObjects.UnregisteredClientRuntimeException",
      "message":"Failed to get Extension, client is Unregister",
      "type":"SIGMA_RUNTIME",
      "backendMessages":[],
      "errorCode":0,
      "family":null}],
    "stackTrace":"com.idmlogic.sigma.errorhandling.exceptionObjects.UnregisteredClientRuntimeException: Failed to get Extension, client is Unregister\r\n\tat com.idmlogic.sigma.workers.ExtensionUtil.setExtensions(ExtensionUtil.java:115)\r\n\tat com.idmlogic.sigma.workers.ExtensionUtil.setPermissionExtensions(ExtensionUtil.java:68)\r\n\tat com.idmlogic.sigma.workers.ExtensionUtil.setPermissionExtensions(ExtensionUtil.java:59)\r\n\tat com.idmlogic.sigma.manager.impl.CatalogManagerBean.getAllPermissions(CatalogManagerBean.java:302)\r\n\tat sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor237.invoke(Unknown Source)\r\n\tat sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43)\r\n\tat java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:498)\r\n\tat org.springframework.aop.support.AopUtils.invokeJoinpointUsingReflection(AopUtils.java:317)\r\n\tat org.springframework.aop.framework.ReflectiveMethodInvocation.invokeJoinpoint(ReflectiveMethodInvocation.java:190)\r\n\tat

    .../...

    I cannot find anything on the web or in the documentation about this error.

    Does anyone encountered a similar issue ? or do you know in which direction I should investigate ?

    Regards

    Hi Vincent,

    We have had a support case with this error before where it turned out that a Site Minder authorization policy was missing. If you ID Portal is protected by Site Minder then your realms must be authorized for access by Site Minder. You authorize them by using SM user interface, go to the SIGMA domain -> policies and creating a policy that links all the realms which you are accessing with the users that are authorized to them.

    So, my suggestion is please double check if you have that in place. If so, and still unresolved then my suggestion will be that you open a support case and work with a support engineer directly.

    Thanks,

    Sagi

    This error may also happen if the SM Session timed out. Logout and log back in and this issues may be resolved.
