I have a requirement to run a job every 1st of Month + 15 days. Meaning from 1st of Month, it counts 15 days then run on the 15th day. I know its easy to simply use 15th of Month but I have Mon-Fri as workdays with Sat-Sun non-workdays with a holiday action that if 15th day falls on that country Holiday, it will run on previous workday.
Which scheduler are you using?
In ESP, you could use:
RUN 1ST DAY OF MONTH PLUS 15 DAYS
CA Workload Automation AE
Autosys
In DE, 1st day of month plus 15 days
or, first day of month plus 15 days
Are you saying you need one extended calendar defining both MNTHD#1 regardless of holidays, and MNTHD#15 depending on holidays? I would say that is hard to define in Autosys.Or are you saying you need an extended calendar that runs only on MNTHD#15 depending on holidays, then it is a bit easier? You need to adjust that extended calendar -1.
So far I was able to figure out sticking on the 2nd option but its an issue if its +150 days scenario. Starting Jan 1st, it falls from May 30 2017 till 2019 but comes 2020, falls 29th.
I will do a small test on my system and return to you with an example of an extended calendar...
What about
extended_calendar: DAY_OF_MONTH_15description:workday: mo,tu,we,th,frnon_workday: Nholiday: Pholcal: MY_HOLIDAYScyccal:adjust: 0condition: MNTHD#15
This is the exact extended calendar i created and it does work for the +15 days. My issue now is +150 days.
So we came to the same conclusion on 15, I did not realise that was solved already. Sorry!
So there is a 150-scenario as well.
2020 has got 366 days, that is probably why.
Right but it seems this is not applicable to +150days requirement, I'm not very much into using CYCLE yet. Thanks Lars
You're welcome! Hope you solve it!!
