    Hi Osama,

Yes you can build Windows 64-bit applications with the free version of Gen 8.6.

    More details here:

Overview of the Free Version of CA Gen

Gen 8.6 New Features - CA Gen - 8.6 - CA Technologies Documentation - see "Free Version"

Working With Build Tool - CA Gen - 8.6 - CA Technologies Documentation - see "64-bit Windows Support"

(NOTE: Current Gen functionality only allows build of 32-bit GUI Applications - unrelated to free/standard version)

    Hope that all helps.

    Regards,

    Lynn

Hi Lynn-it appears the second link above is broken. The one called Gen 8.6 New Features - CA Gen - 8.6 - CA Technologies Documentation I get a 404 error. Thanks Elaine

    Hi Elaine,

Sometimes that can happen after our Tech Info team make changes to the documentation wiki and the page URL changes. Here is the new working link: New Features - CA Gen - 8.6 - CA Technologies Documentation

If you see similar again in the future first try to access the main Gen 8.6 page: CA Gen Home - CA Gen - 8.6 - CA Technologies Documentation. If still a problem go to the docops main menu CA Technologies Documentation  and then select "CA Gen - 8.6" from there.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Lynn

Thanks Lynn. I was doing this on behalf of a customer that might be looking for that link. I appreciate the quick response.
