  • 1.  Spectrum 10.2.1

    Hi All,

I just recently installed Spectrum 10.2.1 in my DEV environment. All are VM's,  One server has 4 procs  8gb of ram, and the other two have 3 procs and 6g of ram. I have them all configured in a distributed environment and only one server has 100 models, the other two Databases are blank.  All three of the servers show the SpectroServer process running at 100% all the time. This appears to be unusual to me since in the 10.1.1 production environment 3 of my servers have 300,000 models on each Database, and the SpectroServer processes literally idle at around 5-15% cpu all the time. What's Up?  Are others seeing this behavior?

    TIA

Usually when upgrading to a new version, I would raise a support ticket with CA and ask Support to provide the recommended PTF's that you should include after the upgrade / install. There is a doc that Rene Cantwell maintains which is good to monitor (LINK to 10.2.1 PTF's)

    Hi Patrick,

10.2.2 is TENTATIVELY scheduled for beginning of Q4 of this year.

As Phani noted, the cpu problem is a known issue fixed by 10.02.01.PTF_10.2.118

I have created case 00807326 and have uploaded this patch to this case.

As Frank noted, if you could take a look at the 10.2.1 patch list that Rene posted and let me know if you need/want any other patches, I will upload them to this case for you.

    Thanks!

    Jay

Will the 10.2.2 release support upgrades directly from 10.1.x?

No, if you are on 10.1.x you will first need to install 10.2.0 and then you can install 10.2.2.

    Cheers
