I was told the CAPA material for 15.3 does not include any of the new UX. Is that correct? If so, why not?

If the new UX is the direction, then I feel those of us that have/pay for CAPA should have that OOTB content. Otherwise, we are getting repeatable/outdated material since not much is being done in the classic space. If it does not have it, any plans to include the new UX in the CAPA material that CA provides its clients?

    Thanks

    Lynn

Oh my Lynn - I haven't checked yet but this is the whole reason we bought CAPA is to be able to roll on the new UX with CAPA training. Without this - no new UX!

completely agree! that is why I am asking for verification. If we have to roll this out from scratch, then we will never get this implemented. We leverage the OOTB CAPA to roll out new features.  It is probably quicker for me to download 15.3 CAPA and look for myself, but (1) that takes time to load it (2) would like get written confirmation and to understand the "why" if it is not included.

Due to the ease of use of the New UX, the approach we are taking with CA PA content is to continue to update for any changes to the Classic User Interface and provide short “How To” videos and WBTs for the new UX which will be coming soon.

Thanks Lisa. Any approximate ETA? And assume the videos and WBTs will be eligible for download for us to share in our business, like we would with CAPA? And, the WBTs are of no cost? If it can't be shared, then there is very little value in this approach. Can you elaborate on the scope of the video/WBT approach?

I saw a 0 dollar "15.3 differences" in the link above, but when I requested it, nothing happened. I never got a link or anything to allow me to view it. So, I can't tell if anything can be saved/shared.

We will need material that can be downloaded so that we can share it internally and use for training,  especially the WBT.  I would expect the WBTs would be at the same information level as CAPA material  (multiple topics, screen by screen, with textual content)? Verbal content alone would not be valuable, as users lose that solid reference.

The CAPA material  can be launched from within Clarity, which is a huge value. Does CA have it on the roadmap to get CAPA up to speed?  Otherwise, for those of us paying for CAPA, what is the value add? It is the same content as other releases, since nothing is being enhanced in classic.

Does 15.3 CAPA at least address the changes in reporting?  Is CAPA being phased out?

Please do consider clients who have invested in CAPA and pay for the annual license/maintenance when making these decisions.

    Thanks

    Lynn

    HI Lynn,

I will answer the questions I can here and the rest require a response from other team members.  I'll send you an email to ask for your contact info, so I can get you in touch with the right people.

You will start to see the New UX WBTs coming out in the next 4-6 weeks.

Video's will be free and the WBTs are fee-based.

The CA PPM 15.3 Cumulative differences course is not out yet, but will be within the next week or 2 and that is free.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

I understand it is not easy to dual maintain content (CA Education WBTs & CAPA).

How about a win/win solution? Provide organizations with CAPA subscriptions free access to the new UX fee based WBTs.

    - CA gets to develop once and 'seed' users in their Education system. Feel free to upsell them more training. I can only dream of that problem to solve.

    - CAPA subscribers get a new UX training solution to roll out the new UX.

    Thanks Lisa, I agree completely.

The new CA PPM is so clean, responsive, and forgiving, a real credit to the product design team. Users will take to it on their own, self-teach, play, explore, and fall in love with it because it doesn't require advanced pre-training ramp-up. Where I would invest is admin training and resolving your own internal best practices for say resource, role, and team staffing decisions. Which task status swim lane columns your org recognizes. But for the new CA PPM environment, turn it on and your self-directed agile work teams will show YOU in a few days how they are using it.

    Kind Regards,

    Damon
