  • 1.  ata mapping /matching issue for new variable in client-client modules

    Hi,

I have one query regarding client dialgoue design, when we are passing one variable from one client to other client.

We have added new varaible in both imports/exports of both clients. Also, this varaible is mapped from exports of passing client to imports of called client by using dialogue design properties. Issue is value is being passed from exports but we didn't receive in imports. Can you please help with this?

P.S. Other existing variable values are passed, issue is with the only new added varaible. On exit state we are passing these values to other client.

    Hi Rukkyia,

Assuming you have rechecked the view matching in the Dialog Flow properties for a possible error:

Did you definitely regenerate all relevant code for the change to be picked up for both clients i.e. both Window Managers and all their code (assuming each client PStep is packaged in a separate Window Manager)

Have you generated with trace and run with Diagram Trace Utility to verify data is definitely in the export view of client1?

If problem persists please create a Support case and upload local model files for us to review.

    Thanks

    Hi Lynn,

    Thanks for your reply.

To answer your question - "Did you definitely regenerate all relevant code for the change to be picked up for both clients i.e. both Window Managers and all their code (assuming each client PStep is packaged in a separate Window Manager)" --- Yes, I have generated all neighbours (clients/serever) programs for changed client. Value is coming from exports of client 1 , but didn't see in import of client 2."

What do you mean by support case?

Can you please suggest best possible way to handle this new varaible in some other way?

    Hi Rukkyia,

This Community can assist with general questions but often model specific problems need to be diagnosed by assisted support which is done via creating a support case.  So we can review the model in detail please create a new support case via CA Support Online - CA Technologies  (CASE MANAGEMENT).

    Thanks
