I would like to know if there are customers already using IBM WebSphere MQ v9 with CA Gen, because we need to upgrade from IBM WebSphere MQ v7.1 to v9. 

The MQ V7.1. will be end of life at the end of October.

On “Middleware” within the CA Gen 8.5 Technical requirements the latest version of IBM WebSphere MQ that has been certified for CA Gen 8.5. is the MQ V7.1. and on 8.6. is the v8 instead v9.

Now we need to do the upgrade and we don't have guaranties that will be expected to work.

Are you generating from CA Gen with Communications set to MQSeries or are you merely invoking MQ commands, OPEN, CLOSE etc via EABs?  If it is the latter, I believe the versions of CA Gen and MQ should be largely irrelevant.

While I can't promise a specific delivery date, I can tell you that the certification is currently being worked as a priority.

We do not anticipate any issues with the certification or the operation of  Gen 8.5 with MQ V9. I will let you know as soon as the certification is complete.

I wanted to update you on the progress of our MQ V9 certification. We have completed the certification testing on CA Gen z/OS, and are now finishing up the distributed CA Gen platforms (Windows, Unix, etc.).

We won't announce the formal certification until all components are complete. Since there are several versions each of Unix and Windows, it takes a bit longer to run through all the testing there. 

We have not seen any issues so far with MQ V9.

I'll update you again once we announce the full certification. In the meantime, rest assured you are supported on the current version of MQ.
