  • 1.  Plex certify Windows Server 2016

    Hello,

     

    When is Plex supporting Windows Server 2016? Is there someone who knows it?

     

    Our customers are considering upgrading Plex and they want to use the Windows OS with long support period of Microsoft.
    Since Windows Server that Plex supports is up to Windows Server 2012, we are in trouble because we can not proceed with negotiations for Plex upgrade.

    Dear Hifumi,

    currently our Level 2 is working on the Certification for WINDOWS Server 2016 but not ready yet. I will ask them for a status update and will let you know it soonest.

    How about MS SQL 2016? Is the certification also planned?

    yes, MS SQL 2016 is also planned for CA PLEX 7.2.1 Build 002.

    Dear Hifumi,

    Certification on Windows Server 2016 is have planned for CA PLEX 7.2.1 Build 002 (PTF). Should be ready soon. We will publish the info when the PTF is available on the Community page.

    Windows Server 2012 r2, Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2016 are Certified with Plex 7.2.1 PTF002 which is successfully published and available for download from the CA support site (support.ca.com) with Fix number # RO99273
