    Hello,

I am trying to upgrade PAM 2.8.3 to 3.0 version. Performed all the steps but one and need your help in understanding the process of how to add an external secondary drive "fdisk of 6GB". While trying to upgrade I get the below error message.

Please help with some document or the steps that needs to be performed.

Problem applying the upgrade package. Details: fdisk - A secondary disk device (/dev/sdb) of size 6 GB is required for the duration of the upgrade.
Attach the device and try again!

    Hi

just add another drive with that size (i refer 8 gb) as secondary drive from the vcenter to you PAM appliance.

and restart the appliance, the OS will detect it and mount it.

then do you upgrade procedure .

    Hi Ramesh

all you have to do it to add another harddisk using your vsphere (or vcenter i mean, and if you have Vmware admin in your environment, you should consult him/her) with size of 8 GB to your PAM appliance , then you have to reboot the system, it will detect the new harddisk and map it (ex: it will be a s /dev/sd1)

anyway the upgrade process will detect it while upgrading.
