  • 1.  IRF Question: Adding a custom image file.

IRF Question: I'm trying to add a custom image file to the form element "Image".  I found a doc pointing me to add https://....../images/filename to the URL field.  There are multiple images folders, where do I put my custom image file so it will display on the IRF?

    Hi Scott

I'm afraid that our US based staff who would normally respond to these forum postings are currently enjoying a two day break over the Thanksgiving holidays. As a result I regret to inform you that there will be a slight delay in responding to this query.

I will however ensure that there is someone available to provide a response to this question as soon as possible after Monday November 27th. I hope this doesn't cause you any inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time.

    Hi!

So I've never needed an IRF and was curious about the static path of files on pam.

The itpam path is relative to where the war is deployed, as pam runs on jboss.

The way I found the real path was kinda funny, I follow the path of CA logo's witch in my instalation is

    http://localhost:8080/itpam/13CBCC74B3F1097E00BDB8FF2D77F2B6.cache.png

What I did was search pam base folder and found that the path is

    PAM_HOME\server\c2o\ext-deploy\c2oear-snapshot.ear\web-snapshot.war

I put a custom image there and was able to access it within http:/localhost:8080/itpam/customimg.png

    Hope it helps

That didn't seem to work for me.  Do you need to recycle a service or something?

No, it shouldn't be necessary as it a static image. So you wheren't able to access the image or the image was not visible in your IRF?

The image was not visible.  The only image that displays is, https://servernameport:port/images/logo.gif.  It displays a JBoss image.

    Hi Scott,

If you use the image URL in a browser, are you seeing the image?  What type of image is it?

I just created a doodle in Paint and saved it as a png.  I placed it under the images folder here:

    C:\Program Files\CA\PAM\server\c2o\ext-deploy\c2oear-snapshot.ear\web-snapshot.war\images

I was then able to access it in a browser via the URL here:

    https://servername:8443/itpam/images/curves.png

I think built an IRF and put an image field and made the above URL the URL for that image and immediately it showed the image.

If the above does not work for you, where exactly is it breaking down?

Thanks, that URL worked.  I was able to display the custom graph.

That's the same path I did show you with another folder, images.
