    Hi All,

We have configured snmp collector in one of the remote hub ,already discovery agent is also present .Whether discovery filters has capable of discovering the devices  ?

As of now i have added a device by creating new profile . I want to discover all my Network devices automatically is it possible ?

So all the discovery must be done through UMP console only ?

correct, snmpcollector was designed without a discovery function, so the USM discovery does it, and snmpcollector queries discovery_server for the systems.

Note: by default in the snmpcollector configure gui the discovery_server address must be changed for the primary hub.

and then you have snmpcollector query discovery server, profiles for all the devices are automatically created, polling done, device details and metric collected, USM device details get updated and metrics show up.

Yes I have discovered the device in UMP as well as added the discovery filters in snmp collector probe too ,updated the query discovery server tab ,got status as profile imported from discovery server also ,but still not able to see the device in profile ..will wait for some more time and check

When you look in the inventory for the device, do you see the "key” icon at the far right hand side ?

This indicates that the discovery has been successful with the snmp details and therefore is eligible to be imported into snmpcollector.

If there is no key icon then either your snmp credentials are incorrect or the hub that the discovery agent is on (and being used) doesn't have access on the snmp port (161)

    Hope this helps you

    Cheers
