Hello, These are not generic problems. Can you be more specific? What keyboard are you using? What is the OS of the device you are connecting to, and what shell does the user land in? What is the PAM release? I am not sure what the "Supr” key refers to, but everything else is working for me with PAM 3.1.1 connecting to a bash shell on a Linux host. To erase to the end of the line I would use Ctrl-k.

    Hi Cesar,

I think Ralf was trying to ask what language layout type the keyboard is. For example there are differences between US English and Spanish keyboards and this is important to note.

If you are not sure, you can find out by going to Control Panel > Language to see what Windows is set to.

In PAM you can make sure your account matches this by clicking either My Info or your name at the top right corner of the screen and changing the Keyboard Layout setting to match what Windows has set. This should help map the keys correctly.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks lutch01, Ralf Prigl

The language layout type the keyboard is "US".

In PAM I have configured the "UTF-8 character encoding" and have tried other options such as "US-ASCII" or "UTF-16" without getting results.

    Am I forgetting something more?

    Regards!

Hi Cesar, If you are connecting to the Linux server using an SSH client like PuTTY, are all these keys working right for you?

    Hi Ralf Prigl
Yes, it works with PuTTY, but with the remote PAM connection it does not work.
I used the command: "stty erase ^H" in the OS to configure the "backspace" key, but I could not configure the rest of the keys (END, DEL, HOME)

What is the Linux release, and from where are you connecting to PAM? From a Windows host? In that case, if you use the on screen keyboard (osk), do the home and end button also not work? The DEL button works like backspace for me, but the others are fine. And do the control keys work for you, Ctrl-a == HOME, Ctrl-e == END, Ctrl-d == DEL?

    Hi Ralf Prigl

We use PAM in Windows 10 and Fedora 26, we connect to RedHat Linux and Oracle Linux.
The start and end buttons do not work.
The DEL button also works as a setback for me, but I want to erase the characters to the right of the cursor, not to the left.
If I use the key combination Ctrl + a == HOME, Ctrl + e == END, Ctrl + d == DEL, they work, but administrators must work quickly in case of contingency.
The intention is that they can work normally without altering their habits with the PAM tool.
    Best Regards!

    Hi friends

I have similar problem. In the RDP sesion some key not working and the key Alt are disable (I thinkg this) and not enable to work with some combinations how Alt + 64 or in general ASCII code.

When i working with PuTTY as service similar situation ocurr in special with the caracter | (or). This caracter is not generate with any combination of keys.

I try working enabling and disabling diferents language in the CA PAM Client and differents encoding but the error continue.
    That could happening, some idea

    Thanks

It's possible that the ssh applet won't handle the special keys.  You can use "ssh proxy" to launch a terminal emulator program from your desktop, to connect to a local loopback address that will be established when you launch the ssh proxy from the access page.  Create a TCP service that will launch your terminal emulator.  In my case I used putty.  I called mine myssh.  Assign the local loopback address you wish to use.  Just make sure it will not conflict with anything else.  I set the Application Protocol to SSH and the Client Application to C:\tools\putty\putty.exe -ssh <Local IP> <First Port>.  You might add other run time parameters depending on what you are doing.  For example, use C:\tools\putty\putty.exe -ssh -l youruser <Local IP> <First Port> if you want to do auto login with putty.  This will prevent putty from prompting you for the userid.  Both the userid and password will come from PAM, assuming you assign the credentials in the Policy.  After creating such a service and launching it from the Access page, the Del, Home and End keys worked the way you want.  This should help you get around this problem.

    Good day:

I have exactly the same problem. The CA PAM SSH applet does not recognize the keys and works well with Putty.

Could you share the solution to me to use the BACKSPACE key ???

    Greetings.
