Hi Sangeetha
I'm not sure of your specific use case, but typically, I only use the FDM GUI to build the masking rules, not execute the masking itself.
I then execute the masking run using the .bat file that is created when you ‘Save Mask' (choose this rather than ‘Save & Run Mask') - I run this from a CMD prompt open in the folder wherever I am saving the mask.
- I find that this frees up the FDM GUI, and gives me more control over the workflow - eg, easily cancel a run in simulation mode if I can see I need to modify the mask in some way, or have made a mistake somewhere.
If you look inside the .bat file, you'll see that there is a java command line that references the FDM class paths and the specific mask csv and options files.
For certain cases where I need some manipulation of the data before or after the masking, this .bat file can be embedded within another batch script (for example).
(There are also install notes for adding FDM to a Linux machine, if you want to run FDM somewhere other than your main TDM server).
Does any of the above get you closer to what you'd like to achieve?
Regards,
Adrian.
