  • 1.  user rigths under specific folder

I need a user who has all rigths for all types (only JOBS for this example) under specific folder. I have tried many options using authorization tab. I have changed grp, type, and name parts with keeping all rights checked. Nothing changed. Although I have opened an information request, support directs me here. It can be seen below what I have tried at last.

I wish this product can provide a clear solution for this simple request.

Do you have a specific naming convention for all of the JOBS under the TEST/ folder?

In our environment, all of the JOB names start with TST.  That makes it easier to control

RickM111 First, thanks for your quick reply. That is the solution also provided by support. However, unfortunately our customer have job names so much different than each other.

At first, thanks for the links you sent. Those really broaden my knowledge for this case.
As far as I investigate, it didn't seem that our product doesn't have a capability of fulfilling our customer wants. What I mean is that: Unless a folder contain objects started with spesific letters, it is not possible to give rights to a user for this folder and objects under that folder only. Am I right?

@mtufan: You may give users access to this folder only, but you will need to create permissions for the object types as well.

I think the error in your case is that you're using a '/' rather than a '\' for the desired folder. I tried at my end and could not get this to work until I used the '\'.

Could you check and confirm ?
