AWA 12.X , Server Processes(CPs & WPs) started in out-of-sequence from the AWI “System overview” may cause issues to the remaining Server Processes. Basically will not respond to start process and indicate "process is already running"

Assume that you have “WP014” and “WP015” currently in stop status and you “Right-click” on the “WP015” and start the start the process( like below).

Above shows that It started the WP014 ( this may be because the port assign to WP14 is free on the node and the start process will pick the next available port from the config and it is now the post belong to WP14)

Now that the WP014 is up and you wanted to bring up the WP015 . This will never work again from the AWI and shows the message “Process WP.. already running” . I have to always start the remaining Server Processes from  the ServiceManager. May be the AWI

Did anyone experience this situation on your AE systems ( I think it did not work on 12.0.1-HF5 too)?

    Hi Indika,

Tried it on our DEV environment with Version 12.0.2 and ... you're right. Looks like it's still a problem even on the newest version.

Additionaly I got following error when starting WP011

clicked on "Yes" and AWA says ..

Till now we only used the ServiceManagerDialog Tool, which works fine. Even though it's still version 10. Will do more research on that on monday. Maybe you should file a bug.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting this.
I was also able to reproduce this. PRB00135292 has been created. Please let me know if you want me to add you to its subscription list.

    Hi Antoine_Sauteron

Thank you so much for checking this and reporting,You may add me to the subscription list too.

I have also reported few more issues in the below post and however did not create any support tickets yet. Appreciate if you can check it and report accordingly. ( we are still on $U and our contract is not yet extended for the AWA and i'm not sure i'm eligible for creating support tickets for AWA )

    https://community.automic.com/discussion/9900/awa-12-0-1-hf5-ignore-sync-conditions-action-does-not-start-the-job-which-is-waiting-for-sync#latest

I remember there were few more issues that I found( V11.X and V12.X) but and need to recollect them and test it on V12.0.2-HF2 before post in here. ( Unfortunately my temp license is expired now I'm just waiting for an extension )

    One more AWI minor issue....
When the license expired, by design ,login is restricted to all  non-system (numbered) clients. But the AWI return simple error message saying "Logon error: Access denied" and it does not indicate this is due to license issue and confuse users.
I forgot to inform this to my team and one had tried different passwords( thinking some issue with the password) and got his ID locked in AD  :) .

Minor issue but good to correct it. May be a message like "License expired: Contact your AWA Administrator ,Access is allowed only to Client 0"

    Hello IndikaPeiris611408

I checked and you already had an user account in our system. I changed its permissions so that you can now create support tickets.
Simplest way to proceed would be that you create tickets directly to report issues.

    Best regards,
    Antoine
