    Hi

I have a job which was triggered 283000 times, and I am still trying to figure out how it happened. Before that, I am trying to delete those processes and I cannot. I cancelled the workflow recursively and tried to deactivate but it doesn't help. The tasks are in "Waiting for predecessor" and I cannot delete/cancel from the front end.

Is there a way I can delete all those jobs from the Database by running a query. If so it would be great if I can get the query.

We are in Automation Engine Version 12.0.2+hf.2.. Appreciate your inputs.

If you identified the TOP Workflow (or object) you can do (in activities window):
Modify Task / Modify status manually - and set this object to an ENDED_*** state

@wolfgang Brueckler : Thankyou. Yes, after I tried all different ways, stopped the whole system started backup to see if it frees any orphaned sessions and didn't work. Then, I tried modifying status manually to Ended-Cancel and noticed few hundreds of jobs getting deleted from the activities window.

It took all night for the jobs to be gone.

@Michael A. Lowry Thankyou for sharing this. I will pass this along my team. I am glad that this happened in UAT and not production.
