  • 1.  Job without a schedule runs randomly

    Posted May 21, 2018 02:42 PM

    Hello,

We would like to seek for your help to be able to understand how the specific job below works without a schedule defined to it.

This job runs randomly without us having to trigger it and without a schedule. Unlike the other jobs which we have to force start or define a schedule for it to run.

    Job Definition

    Runtime

We would really appreciate if you could hep us with this.

    Hi Eduardo,

Please look into the "condition" field of this job to see if it has any starting condition, otherwise check if this job is in a box and look into the starting conditions of its box

Job is either in a box, has a starting condition or someone is running it.

    do an autotrack on it.

    Hello Eduardo,

What is the autosys version you are using ?

We have observed multiple jobs on an agent host running without schedule and the

Problem is fixed in 11.3.6: SP4 and later .

There is different cases where we can state this behaviour.

and we can see some information from the event_demon log.

Could you please provide more detail about the box/job definition , event_demon log and version of WAAE

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Eduardo,

If there is no condition at the box level and nothing in the autotrack output to explain why always the same job is triggered around same times everyday, then please open a case at CA support for further investigations.
