  • 1.  Is apmia possible to support HP-UX

Due to APM Infrastructure Agent just only support Linux/Windows but as I know the SystemEdge could implement on HP-UX. So, Is it possible using SystemEdge for HP-UX and collect remotely by other apm infrastructure agent on port 1691?

    Best Regards,

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

There was a similar thread here for apmia on AIX: CA APMIA for AIX

Guenter_Grossberger can probably advise further on the best options.

    Thanks Guenter

    Regards,

For future reference Sam's colleague logged a support case and we determined that:

CA SystemEdge is supported on HP-UX:
    https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/status/supported-platforms/ca-systemedge-platform-support-information.html

10.7 Infrastructure Agent has no official support for HP-UX per: PCM for CA Software - Agile Operations Product Compatibility Search

Even though the Infrastructure Agent is not supported on HP-UX because SystemEdge is supported on HP-UX then in theory this may be possible:
    a. Extract the "casystemedge-5.9.11-unix-x64.tar.gz" from the Infrastructure Agent installer package & install on HP-UX.
    b. Install and configure a remote Infrastructure Agent to connect to the HP server host on default snmp port 1691 by editing file apmia/extensions/HostMonitor/bundle.properties to look at the remote server (snmpcollector.hostlist etc) per
