  • 1.  When will CA NFA support RHEL 7.5?

Hello, we would like to install CA Network Flow Analysis (NFA) on Red Hat Linux (RHEL) 7.5 servers for both the Harvester and Console.  The current version of NFA, 9.3.8, only supports RHEL 6.8 for the Harvester and the Console is not supported at all on Linux.  We would like the next version of NFA (9.4?) to be supported on RHEL 7.5 for both Harvester and Console.  Thank you.

    Thanks,

FYI the NFA console is only supported on Windows.

NFA 9.5 is the next version due out and will Support Windows 2012 and 2016 for console and harvester, and I believe RedHat 7.4 is the latest supported version fir 9.5.

There was an idea submitted for support of the NFA console on Linux Linux Support for NFA Console  however this has not been implemented.

Hi Nagesh and Christopher, thank you for the replies.  RHEL 7.5 came out about 4 months ago, so we are hopeful that the next version of NFA Harvester, which apparently is 9.5, will support it.  Our company is no longer permitting RHEL 7.4 servers since it is considered vulnerable.  Is it possible for NFA 9.5 to be certified against RHEL 7.5 or at least be unofficially supported on it?

It is disappointing that even though the request was made 5 years ago with 43 up votes, there are no plans for NFA Console to be supported on Linux.

    Hi Christopher.

We are to install NFA 9.5 and we see that RHEL 7.5 is not still supported. Because of vulnerability issues, RHEL 7.4 will be out of support soon and that's why our company is forcing us to use RHEL 7.5. Is there any way to sort the validation check on the installer?

We would have to ask Nagesh_Jaiswal about RHEL 7.5 support.
