  • 1.  Is there a way to view and follow up on a feature that spans between rally projects\scrums?

Basically if in the release tracking there was an option to filter per feature, it would be a great help.

Is there anything similar already available?

    Hello Doris-L,

Filter on Feature: when viewing the Release Tracking page in the left frame the Portfolio Items (Feature) frame you will see a list of Features. If you highlight a Feature - by selecting it with the mouse/pointer - then only the data for that Feature is displayed in the Chart on the right [frame].

There are also some Custom Apps that you might like. Consider the Portfolio Burn-up with Trend [Line]. You can filter on Features. It is incorrectly named Portfolio Burn-down with Trend in GitHub. It is a Burn-up.

I hope this helps ... the other advice I have about viewing the Feature across Projects/Scrums (I assume Sprints/Iterations) then this should be automatic in the platform with the right Project Hierarchy.

Looks interesting.  I'm trying this on On-Prem v2018.1.  I'm the subscription Admin and getting this error: Your request requires access to a workspace or project for which you do not have permission. Contact your subscription administrator to request permission.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Bob - where are you getting the error? On Release Tracking? Or with that custom app?

John - I'm getting it when I run the custom app.

Ah, gotcha. I wonder if that app ever worked in On-Prem?

You might try posting an issue here: Issues · RallyTechServices/portfolio-burndown-with-trend · GitHub. Not sure if it has been tested against 2018.1, I'm guessing not as it's not a supported app.

That I do not know.  I just had a program manager wanting Feature Burndown and this looked interesting.  We typically used the App Catalog Burndown charts, Actual vs Planned and all, but those are for Releases/Story points.

"My PM is asking for a burn-down chart report that shows (at the feature level) how many points we have accepted and how many points we should be done with based on the planned end dates.  Does the Rally Tool generate something like that? I’ve seen the one that has a linear burn down line, but I would like one that corresponds closing out of features to the planned start/end dates for that feature.  "
