CA Service Management

  • 1.  Error thrown while installing casdm 14.1 & also while applying patch

    Hi All,

     

    We are facing an error (as mentioned below) while installing casdm 14.1 and also error thrown while applying CP2 error thrown on CMD as "D:/Program" not recognised, as we have installed sdm on D drive.

    As stated in the CA SDM 14.1 documentation, 8.3 is required for Windows OS.

     

    Please refer to the following documentation to verify if 8.3. is indeed enabled on the drive where you are attempting to install CA SDM 14.1

    To add to the previous, not only do you need 8.3 configuration in place, you should also check with the Windows admin who built the server if they have any polices that could take the functionality away after it was applied.  We also strongly advise that the given server be rebuilt and start over to avoid any vestiges of the original installation attempt from disrupting subsequent attempts to install Service Desk.
