  • 1.  http://fqdn/reportservice/login.html  license errors

    Posted Oct 10, 2018 09:29 PM

We have had a successful and running installation of Jaspersoft reports with PPM 15.3.

    However,

    http://fqdn/reportservice/login.html now throws license error.

    License Failed
Invalid license. Enterprise Commercial license expired on 2/10/18 9:59 AM.

    Please contact Jaspersoft Technical Support.

I have applied patch  6.2.1_5.2.1.4.33 successfully, still cannot login as superuser.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    MJ

Please check whether your Jaspersoft patch[6.2.1_5.2.1.4.33 ] has  applied correctly,

Check your Jaspersoft server version and patch details,

    <JasperHostname>:<portnumber>/reportservice/version.htm

Check the Users Home Directory of Jasperserver whether the latest license file is reflected or not.

If everything looks good perform the below steps and check whether you are able to access the application,

    1. Stop the Jaspersoft Tomcat services.
    2. Delete the files under Apache Tomcat temp and work directory.

    3. Start the Jaspersoft Tomcat service.

    4. Access the Jaspersoft Console URL

Check the Jasperserver logs for more information.

Please go to Jaspersoft  installation directory based on your installation paths  and look for the Jasperserver.log file under the directory <Install Directory>/Apache Tomcat/webapps/<reportservice>/Web-inf/logs.

Post the error screenshots and error logs of the jaspersoft console.

In Addition to the above logs, you can also find relevant information in the below files.

    <Install Directory>/Apache Tomcat/logs/catalina.2018-x-x.log

    <Install Directory>/Apache Tomcat/logs/localhost.2018-x-x.log

I removed .jslic file from C:\Users\Administrator profile.

Tried to restart the service from the command prompt: install_dir\bin\startup.bat, but could not get Apache Tomcat running. For a flash of a second, a new command window popped up and disappeared.

What is the account used for the Jaspersoft Server Installation.

Whether the Jasper service is registered as windows service and whether it is configured with any service account.

Please check the jasperserver.license file  where it is placed.

The jasperserver.license file will be placed on the installer user home directory by default and check whether the Jasperserver.license file timestamp is reflected on the Patch installation date.

If you have configured as windows service edit the Jaspersoft  Service  by entering the below command

    tomcat7w.exe //ES//<Jaspersoftwindows service name>

and go to Java Tab in Service Properties and check the Parameters are correct Under Java Options,

In order to remove cache, Iremoved the %TOMCAT_HOME%\work\ folder and

    also %TOMCAT_HOME%\temp folder.

    This has not helped.

Add the following Java Parameter to tomcat (setenv.bat/sh or setcalsspath.bat/sh). If it's a windows service add it on the Java tab under java parameters.

-Djs.license.directory=<Path to the Directory with New license file>
