Hi Team,
Currently we have MoM on windows environment, we want to move this on unix environment, please suggest how we can do this , what approach should be followed for the same.
Let me know if any further information required.
APM 10.7
Thanks
Using the steps in the following KB What are the steps to implement failover and High - CA Knowledge I would think you can do it.
The thought process here would be basically setting up the second MoM as if it would be a secondary and copying all the files needed. You may not be able to copy them based on the OS change depending on what is in those directories.
But once done just disable the Primary and set up the Secondary to be the primary.
Anyone else have any thoughts as to if this would work?
Hi Charles_Nack ,
Customer is currently having MoM on windows, what approach should be follow to move to Linux. I am not sure about hardware configuration whether it can be shared or not between Windows and linux, what if it is not possible. This would be prod activity so more info required.
Dear Ritu:
There is an effort underway to create a migration section in the documentation. For an EM you would need to do at least this:
Backup and bring the following to the new OS as appropriate:

Dear Community:
Please add anything I left out

Hi Hallett_German,
Hi Rita,
You need to install the MOM (Enterprise Manager) on Linux using the APM Enterprise Manager installer for Linux.
Before you start the new MOM you should make the changes/copy over the files listed above by Hal.
You also need to edit your agent profiles to point to the new MOM hostname/IP Address.
Hope that helps
Regards,
Lynn
