We are current evaluating certain feature of v15.5.1 for a planned upgrade in April 2019.  We are currrently on v15.1 patch 8 using the Classic UI.

We are seeking to enable NUE when we upgrade to v15.5.1 but would like to inquire about the Project Time gauge on the new Timesheet.  How can we utilize this gauge.  I ask becuase all of our projects in Clarity have investment type of 'project'.  We track ALL time in Clarity include what you would other wise call non project investments.  We have separate projects for Overhead activities as well as projects for Non Avail / Vacation time.  We have to treat these projects just like all the rest as we interface this labor down stream for payroll and benefit tracking.

Is there a way to configure our regular overhead and non avail projects in Clarity to have a different (e.g. OTHER) investment type while still using all the same functions as a project?  That way i believe the NUE timesheet gauge would work and we would be able to maintain our non project time as we do today.

I can see in our Clarity instance that all our projects have an investment type as 'project'.  It doesn't appear that i can change this attribute as it is configured as read only in studio.  Can you advise if anyone as posed same question.

You can setup an Other Work for each overhead/admin/vacation/timeoff item and allocate the correct team members to them. The "name" of the task is the name of the Other Work. That way they will show as non-project time.

We have over 300 projects (3 per locations with about 100 locations globally).  These projects are already created using core project functionality as we cost those hours in local currrency using rate matrix.  i'd like to be able to keep our existing projects if possible and simply change the 'investment type' if that makes sense.  We have to send this labor to our business system for processing and it supports payroll activities as well.

Is there anyway to use standard project functionality to 'behave' like NPIO?  We thought that the investment type field was essentially telling the system that.    thoughts?

Kinda forcing us to OTHER work else the NUE timesheet project time visual has no value as it always is 100% for our hours entered.
