  • 1.  Result of "Search for use" is not highlighted in scheduler

    Hello.

Using any version of v12 and using Web Access happens following:

If I make "Search for use" and object is found in scheduler, I can enter this scheduler of course. And, I am expecting that entry which I was looking for is highlighted in that scheduler (as it was in all previous version of UC4/Automic using JAVA GUI).

Unfortunately, entry which I was looking for is not highlighted in v12 Web Access.

Imagine that scheduler has hundreds of objects inside. How should I find my object rapidly?

Is there any option how to quickly locate my object without need of manual eye scrolling/searching inside scheduler?"

Thank you in advance for any useful hint.

    Hi!

I'm not aware of any other method to quickly locate an object within a schedule containing hundreds of objects if the search for use opens a schedule. If this behavior was different in previous versions please send us a case so we can work with you to investigate this potential bug.

    Thank you!

    Hello Andrew.

Described process is not working in AWI. But it is working in "classic" UserInterface in all versions.

Can this behavior be implemented also in AWI?

There is currently an idea request for this functionality to be add in the AWI: FOKUS: Verbesserung AWI - Highlighting von Objekten nach Objektsuche

Its in German though (with google translate), the content/functionality is what you are looking for.

    Hello Luu.

Thanks a lot for your helpful post. Yes, you are right. This is the same topic identified by other user.

I see it was added to the list of "Java UI features that are missing from AWI v12.2".

Hopefully it will be added to latest releases this year.

We are still using V11, but wouldn't your web browser have a content search function that could help you search the content of a schedule, usually accessed by CTL-F?   This idea won't work if the view of a schedule does not show all of the tasks.

    Hello Pete.

Yes, CTRL+F as common web browser works, but as you stated - only if schedule is showing all the tasks.

So, not handy in case schedule has hundreds of objects.

Thanks anyway for trying to assist
