  • 1.  Has anyone found a good way in PM to create an "open" events report (which have not cleared yet)?

    I can see in events report and filtered events report where there are indicators of whether an event was opened or cleared.

     

    However, I have not found a good way to show "open events" which have not yet cleared.

     

    This is helpful when an alert notification is missed or ignored, for example, if some analysts are tasked with looking at current issues each day.

    I was looking for something similar but couldn't find an option . Other way is to run a report in Spectrum for alerts generated from CA PM 

     

    This was available in eHealth and was quite useful , unfortunately similar option is missing in CA PM

    Add the Filtered Events View ('Alarms & Events' named Folder in View list when editing a Dashboard) to a Dashboard and limit it to only Threshold Event types, and only those that have been Raised.

    Hi Michael,

     

    Selecting the "Raised" in filter will only show you whats raised not whats "Open/Active" currently . Expectation is to have a view similar to Live Exceptions in eHealth which shows only the active alerts/events .

    How are you defining "Open/Active"?

     

    PM, like Live Exceptions, only has Raised and Cleared Events.

     

    Raised are Open/Active unresolved issues still violating the threshold.

    Cleared are no longer issues, no longer violating thresholds.

    Open/Active are the once which are raised but not cleared 

     

    As an example , when you set the filter on raised and cleared . You see the below . Note that this event was raised and cleared 

     

     

    When the filter is set for raised , you see the same event which is actually cleared . The raised filter only list the events which are raised and not the active events

     

     

    Active events are the once which are raised and not cleared , please check the below post where I have included details earlier

    That old thread feels so long ago yet was just late last year.

     

    Testing the latest releases shows no new abilities, nor have I heard of anything like this coming.

     

    I do think it's good idea and up voted the Idea you had posted.
