    Clarity PPM 15.6

As per Clarity PPM Glossary, I found the below information.  When I checked few resources, the Remaining allocation is incorrect.  Ex:  Allocation is 503.85 - Actuals are 309 and the Remaining allocation should be 195 but the system is showing 72.28.  Unable to figure out what is causing the difference.  Any pointer is greatly appreciated.

    remaining allocation

The remaining allocation is the effort remaining on the project shown in the effort unit of measure such as Hours or FTE.

Remaining Allocation = Allocation - Actuals

There have been some discussion on that

    Remaining Allocation Calculation ?

    Remaining Allocation

I typically see that when I add a resource to a project like

Do you want to overallocate or just add the remaining allocation or something similar.

    That suggest to me that

remaining allocation = availability - allocations from today on

    regardless what the documentation says.

Thanks Urmas.  I did go through those community posts but can't find any definite answer.

I validated your calculation but it is still not calculating correctly.

Can you see for what time frame those numbers are?

My memory did serve me correct. It was not remaining allocation, but remaining availability I was thinking of

If you look at Resource workload portlet and add some timescaled fields it appears that availability stays unchanged when the resource is allocated. Unfortunately the Remaining allocation is not available for that portlet as a field.
