  • 1.  Oracle Applications Endpoint

    Hello Community.

I'm working with CA Identity Manager 14.2. Please your help on the following questions:

Is there any other way to create an Oracle Applications Endpoint without APPS account?

In case your answer is yes, please share the solution.

Is APPS acount hardcoded into IdM as application?

I found in some other discussions here in Communities that using APPS account is requirement from Oracle itself. Why is that?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Please review Oracle Applications Endpoint in CA provisioning manager

There are two IDs needed to acquire/manage the FND endpoint:

Database User - account used when connecting to the database and must have the appropriate privileges to manage the Oracle Applications tables.

Application User - account used when managing Oracle applications. You can use any user that has already been created in Oracle Applications and that has the System Administrator standard responsibility.

The DB User must be the APPS account based on a requirement from Oracle and the Application User is hardcoded to ETAAPP.
