    Hi Sowmya

At this point SQL Server HA is not supported with clarity. All our documentation is under https://docops.ca.com/ca-ppm/15-6/en/

    HI Suman,

Thanks for your quick response. I was wondering if CA anytime going to support the SQL Server HA Allowed Groups Always On Mode? Do we know if the team is working on it or any projected timeline in the near future.

As we all know SQL Server Mirroring is being deprecated as we speak. SQL FCI Always On (SQL Server Fail-over Cluster Instance for Always On Mode) or SQL AG always on are the two options. But as we all know SQL HA AG is the way to go. (SQL Server High Availability Allowed Groups for  Always On Mode)

On your note, it is mentioned that SQL Clustering is supported. Could you please send me some documentation if it exists, to what extent the CA PPM supports it? Even if we want to take this route, we would really like to implement as a temp solution, but would want the CA PPM to support the SQL HA AG Always on Mode.

    Please advise.

    Thank you,

    Sowmya

    Hi Sowmya,

As far as I know its in architecture backlog to support SQL Server HA, so it would be best to get your question answered in this Product Management office hours https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231184756-clarity-ppm-product-management-customer-engagementpdf

Now coming to SQL clustering, this is feature of Microsoft and nothing on clarity, the only change in clarity will the JDBC URL where LoadBalancing=true needs to be set.

Here is the documentation from Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/failover-clusters/install/create-a-new-sql-server-failover-cluster-setup?view=sql-server-2017
