Here is a quick post about the errors bellow, if you has a misconfiguration on your /etc/exports file when you configure Multiple UMP Servers:
On NFS server side:
if you ran:
and got the error
exportfs: No options for /opt/ca/nimsoft/probes/service/data/document_library 10.y.z.10: suggest 10.y.z.10(sync) to avoid warning
exportfs: No host name given with /opt/ca/nimsoft/probes/service/data/document_library (rw,no_root_squash), suggest *(rw,no_root_squash) to avoid warning
And on NFS client side:
if you ran:
mount -t nfs <primary>:/<UIM_installation>/probes/service/data/document_library <UIM_installation>/probes/service/data/document_library
In case of you use /etc/fstab to mount the NFS automatically when OS start.
and got the error:
mount.nfs: access denied by server while mounting 10.y.z.10:/opt/ca/nimsoft/probes/service/data/document_library
Look to your /etc/exports and be sure if your configuration is ok:
File: /etc/exports - This configuration is ok
The errors above was caused, because in my file had a space between 10.y.z.10 and (rw,no_root_squash), like this: 10.y.z.10 (rw,no_root_squash), so correct it.
