Tired of all the new Windows that appears popping up when working within Service Desk Manager ?
There are easy ways within all modern Browsers to suppress the new windows popups and redirects them to new Tabs.
You might know the Setting "Avoid Popups" (View - Preferences), but i don't prefere this setting as it only uses really one window/tab at all.
I hope this helps, feedback is appreciated!
Internet Explorer 11
- Open the IE and go to "Internet Options"
- In the "General" tab click on "Tabs"
- Select everything like seen in the screenshot
- Click OK an close the settings. Now every new popup from the Service Desk should be opened in a new tab.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox and download the "Tab Mix Plus" extension via the Add-ons Manager
- Go to the extension and click on "Options" for the Tab Mix Plus add on.
- Set the options like seen in the screenshots
- Restart Firefox if required
- Now every new popup from the Service Desk should be opened in a new tab.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/theone-open-link-in-same/jmphljmgnagblkombahigniilhnbadca?hl=en (maybe you have to disable the proxy to reach the chrome add on store)
- Install the add on
- Restart Chrome if required
- Now every new popup from the Service Desk should be opened in a new tab.
