Quick steps to install and configure pre-requisites and OneView Monitor:

Install Java JDK and JRE:

Once installed create the two below environment variables:

JAVA_HOME, JAVA_JRE

> Right click computer, choose properties

> Choose "Advanced system settings"

> Click "Environment Variables"

> Click "New" under system variables

> 1st ENV VARIABLE: Variable name: JAVA_HOME, Variable Value: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_51

> 2nd ENV VARIABLE: Variable name: JAVA_JRE, Variable Value: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_51\jre

 

Tomcat setup/run:

> Download Tomcat 7.x from https://tomcat.apache.org/download-70.cgi

> Choose the "CORE" file zip for windows

> Unzip the file: apache-tomcat-7.0.69.zip

> You will now have folder apache-tomcat-7.0.69

> Open CMD in start:Run and once on the c: prompt navigate to the Tomcat bin folder you just unzipped: C:\apache-tomcat-7.0.69\bin

> Run service.bat install <named service> in my case I named it "myservice"

> To start Tomcat, run startup from the same folder

> To Stop Tomcat, run shutdown from the same folder

> You should see the cmd open another window starting up the Tomcat service: you can review the startup logs in the ..\logs folder for Tomcat

 

OneView Monitor:

If you have already setup your policy server you can go through the configuration bat file to setup OneView aftewards:

> GoTo folder: \CA\siteminder

> Run ca-ps-config

> Choose to install OneView Monitor

> Set the path for your Apache/Tomcat folder: C:\apache-tomcat-7.0.69-windows-x86\apache-tomcat-7.0.69

> Make sure you have already started Tomcat before configuring OneView monitor

> Once completed click finish.

> Restart the policy server.

> After restart, make sure your policy server is running

> Open policy server management console; Open CMD in Start>Run

> Type smconsole

> Start the OneView Monitor process

> Open a web browser and go to: http://ipaddress:8080/sitemindermonitor

 

You should now see the OneView Monitor GUI
