Tech Tip: CCR reports, empty or broken views

Blog Post created by Tomas Vrbka Employee on Aug 10, 2016

In case you see  There is no data during this time period. instead of graphs you can look at

sql files at C:\NETQOS\portal\Integration\DataManager\sql for section matching the view then track down sql command which is named at value of Integration.Parameter.SelectCommandName. The SQL command itself is at C:\NETQOS\portal\Integration\DataManager\ xml files.

In case the graph is empty, try to make export to csv. If you see two consequent rows without values that's the reason why CCR doesn't draw the graph. Try to make a fix of SQL command to get rid of empty lines. One fix can looks like below, red lines added:

select

to_char(gmtdate,'yyyymmddhh24mi') as DATETIME,

max(case metricname when 'GBL_LS_VIRT_CPU_UTIL' then metricvalue end) as cpu_util,

max(case metricname when 'GBL_LS_CPU_READY_MS' then (metricvalue/(duration * 1000))*100 end) as cpu_ready

from HYP_GLOBAL_SYSTEM_VIEW

where gmtdate between to_date({StartTime},'yyyymmddhh24mi') and  to_date({EndTime},'yyyymmddhh24mi')

and HOST = '{VM}'

group by to_char(gmtdate,'yyyymmddhh24mi')

having

max(case metricname when 'GBL_LS_VIRT_CPU_UTIL' then metricvalue end) is not null or

max(case metricname when 'GBL_LS_CPU_READY_MS' then (metricvalue/(duration * 1000))*100 end) is not null

ORDER by DATETIME
