Clarity Glossary - Help Us Get It Right!
I am not being able to follow the URL another_martink posted. It takes me back to this same discussion.
And if I append 100040556 to https://communities.ca.com/thread/ I just get a system error.
Can anyone provide the correct/working URL?
I've updated the link to the correct thread.
Just to clarify: The Glossary is in the Bookshelf and the link is supposed to take you there (one version of Clarity) - right?
... or to the soon to be retiring Answerbar where you can search for Glossary while the Answerbar is still there? Can you use the community search after that (if you do not know that the Glossary is part of the Bookshelf)?
You can do a Google search to find the Glossary for the specific version you want. For example, you can Google search for "CA Clarity PPM 13.3 Glossary". At the top of the search results, you'll see a link for the Glossary in the 13.3 bookshelf.
Hope that helps!

Are you implying the we are better off using Goggle search in the open internet than the search functionality in the Community?
Tina was showing you that we have had it indexed in Google as well. You can also find it in the new search.ca.com site: http://search.ca.com/en-us/Pages/SearchResultsSupport.aspx?k=CA%20Clarity%20PPM%2013.3%20Glossary
Just to help clarify, the new search site: http://search.ca.com has a collection for support that contains references to documentation and techdocs etc. The new Support by Product page and its results are based on the new search engine.
The CA Community search only searches the community at this time and it is located here: https://communitis.ca.com/search.jspa or up in the search box in the grey header.
We are working on uniting the collections so that you can use search.ca.com to search for community content alongside technical documents and documentation. That should be available soon.
Those certainly help and I wish I could add them as bookmarks on my Clarity community page.
have had it indexed in Google as well
it really you or Google that does it?
I usually resort to Google search when the internal search does not work (it does work very well with communities and KB) and when there is no solution there, but the problem could exist outside Clarity as well.
In my book it is a weakness if you have resort to Google.
BTW What is the current link within the community which will take you to Glossary?
Should this post be moved to the Clarity "Place" and out of The Water Cooler?
You make it sound like the issues related to Technical documentation should not go to the Water Cooler but go based on the content only.
Technical documentation threads do belong in the Water Cooler. In the future, if you could please explicitly indicate in the title or first line of the discussion that you are submitting the thread for technical documentation feedback purposes, that would help the technical team as well as Water Cooler users more easily identify your thread as such.
Hey urmas - I think that Kyle_R may not be aware that on the previous system, there was a dedicated part of the Feedback Community for interaction with the Information Services (since we rolled the Tech Pub Advisory Council into that community).
Since we have more people from Information Services involved in the various product communities, it might be good for John_George, yourself & Chris_Hackett to get together and figure out how to best do this as you are the lead feedback contributor on documentation, John can represent IS, and Chris can advise on the community capabilities. Does that sound like a plan?
