With PTF RO41528(for ESP 5.5) or RO41067(for ESP 11.3), a new configuration parameter MAXAGE is available in WSSPARM for Workstation Server. It modifies the data exchange between Workstation and the Workstation Server to allow for faster initial subscriptions with no filter.

    Syntax
    MAXAGE nnnn DAYS|HOURS|MINUTES
The default units are hours. The setting is also available as a MODIFY command to the Workstation Server:
    /F ESPWSS,MAXAGE 24 HOURS

Note: When MAXAGE is not set or set to 0, the processing of completed applications is based on the scoreboard as before this fix.

Above PTFs have been confirmed by quite some customers, that they can effectively make the initial subscription with no filter faster. And it works even if the users need to use bigger value (like 48 or 96 HOURS) on MAXAGE.
