Hi,
We are facing this problem. Clarity 13 is not compatible with SQL Server standard edition.
We have a Clarity 12 running on a SQL Server 2008 Standard edition, but we are able to do that by copying the database from a SQL Server Enterprise.
Clarity is tunning ok (no performance drawback noticed until now, but we don't have much volume on this Clarity...)
But when we tried to upgrade to 13.1, installation reports an error:
Error message: [CA Clarity][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Online index operations can only be performed in Enterprise edition of SQL Server.
SQL error code: 1712
We will try to do to upgrade using SQL 2008 Enterprise and then copy the database to a standard SQL Server.
But all this will be useless if CA does not offer (some) support over SQL Server 2008 Standard.
The question:
Being this 'online index feature' the only difference between standard and enterprise versions (from Clarity point of view), what are the odds that CA accepts suport cases for an instalation on SQL Server Standard?
tks!

This was answered somewhere already.
Enterprise edition utilizes index views which makes a significant difference in performance.
In dev environment the performance is not that vital and the difference is livable.
