    Hi Experts,
I have currently installed ADMINUI SP3 CR 10 on RHEL 5.9 and it ran sucessfully without any errors. When I try to statr the JBoss it ends up with the following errors.Any help would be deeply appreciated. I am posting the errors below.

    hi siteprash.

The error you are highlighting is nothing to worry about and actually expected. Please see below.

The above error is an issue with ApacheDS; when the directory service is
being initialized it attempts to add the 'inetOrgPerson' value to the
    'objectClass' attribute multiple times.
This error message is entirely harmless and can safely be ignored. It will
only appear the first time the application server is started (or if the
"data/apacheds" directory does not yet exist at startup).

    See https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1413 for more details

Are you having any problems or just seeing this message. If just seeing this message you can safly ignore.

    hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Gene. After executing run.sh I was trying to open the browser and open the Adminui and it throws up a 404 JBoss Error.

    Thanks,

    good afternoon Siteprash,

I would suspect that you may not have waited long enough for Jboss to initilize. I have seen it take more than 5 minutes on some system to startup and be functional.
If you are willing to enable debugging in Jboss server and upload those here we might be able to help out more.

If not then I would suggest you enable JBoss debugging and upload your server and boot logs to a support case for support to help out.

I assume that you made sure that your Policy server was up and running with no errors and there was no communication issue with the Policy server from the WAMUI server correct?

Please see the following KB on how to enable logging:
    https://comm.support.ca.com/?legacyid=TEC543442

    hope this helps

    Hi Siteprash,

Is the Jboss you are using the one installed by the pre-requisite installer or is your own version of JBoss?

I am not seeing anything wrong with the boot.log:
07:44:02,612 DEBUG [ServiceConfigurator] URLs set to deploy/ in jboss.deployment:type=DeploymentScanner, flavor=URL
07:44:02,612 DEBUG [URLDeploymentScanner] Adding URL from spec: deploy/

    07:44:02,621 INFO [Log4jService$URLWatchTimerTask] Configuring from URL: resource:jboss-log4j.xml

    And nothing from the Server.log:
    2013-02-11 07:44:19,519 WARN [ims.default] ---- CA IAM FW Startup Sequence Complete. ----
2013-02-11 07:44:19,519 WARN [org.apache.directory.server.core.DefaultDirectoryService] ApacheDS shutdown hook has NOT been registered with the runtime. This default setting for standalone operation has been overriden.

Everything looks Like it is coming up ok.

When getting the 404 error. Are you seeing this in the JBoss server logs?
What URL and port are you trying to reach?
Are you doing it from the local machine or remote machine?
When it worked was it from a local machine or a remote machine?

If none of this helps you determine the problem. I would suggest you contact support as this may require a live meeting session to see what is going wrong.

    hope this helps

This is the Jboss from the prereq.

    1. When getting the 404 error. Are you seeing this in the JBoss server logs?
I am not seeing it in the logs.I have attached the logs and you can see it it was.

    2. What URL and port are you trying to reach?
    http://host:8080/iam/siteminder/adminui

    3. Are you doing it from the local machine or remote machine?
    I have tried both

    4. When it worked was it from a local machine or a remote machine?
    It wasn't working both ways.

Thanks for all the help Gene. Let me know if there is anything else I could do. I'll however contact the support.

    Thanks,
    SitePrash.

    HI siteprash,

I did not see the request come into the logs. So to me that would suggest that you are not hitting what you think you are.
    You said you used host:8080
    Did you try 127.0.0.1:8080
    or IPaddress:8080

to rule out DNS or hosts files issues?

    hope this helps.

I have tried localhost:8080,127.0.0.1:8080 and also ipadress:8080 on the host and also ipadress:8080 from the remote host. Nothing of that records in the server.log.

    Hi siteprash ,

If rebooting the system or checking netstat to see if you have a port conflic of some type does not resolve the issue. I would suggest you contact support for a live meeting session to see what is going on.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Sneha,

The current thread is about a very old AdminUI version 12SP3CR10.

What is your AdminUI version ?
What is your AdminUI OS version ?

Here are some KD about AdminUI and 404 return code in browser.

Accessing AdminUI URL returns HTTP 404
    https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleId=8341

HTTP 404 when trying to Access AdminUI after a new installation.
    https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleId=8422

Could you confirm you get the 404 return code in browser and attach
the server.log of the AdminUI ?

    Best Regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

I have installed SSO 12.83.  policy server and admin UI installation is completed without any error. When I login to admin UI with credentials. It redirecting to same page with empty fields. Below is the error from server.log :

    Hi Sneha,

On my lab which is 12.8SP3 too, I've got this error

08:26:50,325 ERROR [stderr] (MSC service thread 1-2)
    ScriptEngineManager providers.next():
    javax.script.ScriptEngineFactory: Provider
    com.sun.script.javascript.RhinoScriptEngineFactory not found

but this doesn't harm the browsing of the AdminUI application.

    You mentioned :

When I login to admin UI with credentials. It redirecting to same
    page with empty fields.

That means you cannot login. Is the last field "Server" empty too ? If
it's the case, that means that you haven't registered the AdminUI.

    Register the Administrative UI
    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/layer7-identity-and-access-management/single-sign-on/12-8-03/installing/install-the-administrative-ui/install-the-administrative-ui-on-linux-stand-alone.html

Make sure that you access the AdminUI with the FQDN of the server :

    http://<Admin UI FQDN>:8080/iam/siteminder/adminui

and make sure that all prereq are met before the registration.

    I hope this helps,

    Best Regards,
    Patrick
