What is the CACDF?
(CA Common Diagnostic Facility)

[*]The CACDF (CA Common Diagnostic Facility) is designed to gather logs and information from a CA Product server.
[*]It will gather operating system information as well as product related information based on your product selection. (with an option not to gather OS info)
[*]Allows customers to FTP the information to Issue
[*]Currently available for 63 products/components

Why use the CACDF?

[*]This helps CA customers get a comprehensive set of information for Support Engineers right at the start of an issue.
[*]It helps simplify many manual steps required to gather each piece of information, as well as limit the multiple requests needed for each piece of information.
[*]We believe this will improve the customer experience to save time
[*]It will help Support Engineers resolve issues quicker with all the information available up front.

How do I get CACDF?

[*]Once you download the CACDF extract the folder on the product server you are diagnosing.

How do I use CACDF?

In the extracted cacdf folder one of the following based on your OS and platform

cacdf.cmd (for CACDF command line)
cacdfui.cmd (For CACDF Graphical interface – BETA)
