Hi All,
I am glad to announce the release of the frst version of the CACDF script for APM. Below a brief desciption of what CACDF for APM, for more details, see attached UserGuide.

The CA Common Diagnostic facility (CACDF) is a tool provided by CA to automate the collection of problem solving diagnostic data for your installed CA software products.

CACDF accomplishes the following:
- Automating the capture of the most pertinent diagnostic data in a first collection cycle
- Eliminating common keyboard mistakes that can occur when replicating email instructions
- Minimize the amount of time required to collect the appropriate data

CACDF collects the most pertinent diagnostic files but you might be asked by CA Support to provide additional elements sucha as Screenshots of your issue. See in the “Important Reminders” section of the user guide for more information about what CACDF cannot collect.

CACDF for APM script is not intended to fix a problem, however, we encourage you to use CACDF whenever possible before opening a support incident.

1. Go to
2. Click “Download”
3. Extract CA CDF on a network folder to make it available across all your servers. This will allow you to have a central repository for diagnostics files.
4. Run CACDF: or cacdf.cmd and you are ready to go.

This first version of the APM script. I am looking forward to receiving your feedback and suggestions on how to enhance and improve this first version of the APM script.

Below the list of the APM products supported by the APM CA CDF script.
