Removing Export to Excel from Clarity 13.1

We are considering pulling the plug on our 13.1 upgrade, as the Export to Excel feature is back (we had removed it), and CA Clarity Support is telling us that it is workingn as designed and can't be removed from Clarity 13.1.

However, this feature is still crashing our app server CPUs, for the same reasons found 2 years ago on v12.

- exporting more than 300 lines
- exporting a formula attribute

Limiting the export to 300 lines is not useful to our users. And, we cannot prevent users from adding a formula attribute to a list view. Yes, I know we can prevent users from configuring views/portlets, but the a significant utility is lost. So, we either take away a useful utility so that a useless utility is available to users, or we risk crashing our app servers.

And, its working as designed.

Please, reference Idea: https://caideation.secure.force.com/ideation/ideaView?id=087a0000000ieXcAAI and promote it, please.

In the meantime, if anyone knows how to remove this feature from Clarity, please let me know.

Also, we are escalating this through our account manager. As our upgrade date for production is a month away, we are trying all avenues to find a resolution.

Thank you,

Dale
