CA Tuesday Tip: (CA IDMS) Loader tracing

Discussion created by Ian_Hill Employee on Feb 26, 2013
CA IDMS Tuesday Tip by Ian Hill, Principal Support Engineer for February 26, 2013.

Sometimes in a problem or debugging situation, it can be useful to trace what modules are being loaded by CA-IDMS and from where they are being loaded.

This can be done by using the CSA test flags 6 and 61.

Issue the following DCMT commands:

DCMT VARY CSATST 6 ON
DCMT VARY CSATST 61 ON

Then run whatever problem scenario you are having and you will see messages in the dc-log related to the loaded modules:

V65 T58 3B410CF8 load=GSSCVDTI library=CDMSLIB
V65 T59 3B410CF8 load=GSSCVDTI library=CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B410CF8 load=GSSCVDTI library=CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B410CF8 load=ADSORUN1 library=CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B3C0C08 load=$ACF@TAT dbname=APPLDB ddname= CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B410CF8 load=ADSOMAIN library=CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B3C0C08 load=IJHDI100 dbname=APPLDB ddname= CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B41D094 load=IJHMI100 dbname=APPLDB ddname= CDMSLIB
V65 T60 3B420F48 load=TABJNBFN dbname=APPLDB ddname= CDMSLIB
V65 T61 3B410CF8 load=GSSCVDTI library=CDMSLIB
V65 T61 3B410CF8 load=ADSOMAIN library=CDMSLIB

When finished, you can turn the test flags off with:-

DCMT VARY CSATST 6 OFF
DCMT VARY CSATST 61 OFF
