Hello, I am trying to learn XOG and a lot of the post say to play with the object in the application and then XOG it out? Is there a easy way to retrive the object as xml from the application? Thank you,B

Yep, when we all say "XOG out the object", what we mean is use the XOG interface to read the object instance from the application into XML. So if we were talking about an instance of (say) the PROJECT object, we'd use the XOG script "prj_projects_read.xml" (provided by CA in the directory you install the PC XOG client to). Note that there are many different scripts (provided by CA) that do similar things.... there is usually a "read" and "write" script for each object type and the "write" XML is basically just the results of the "read" XML. -- So ultimately when you are trying to
some data to Clarity and you are confused about how you should populate the XML that you are trying to
, what you should do is
the object from the application ("XOG out the object") and then this will tell you what the
XML should look like. Dave.
