    CA Gen 32-bit applications targeting Oracle (and which use the Oracle 32-bit client libraries)

    The only method to connect a 32-bit CA Gen application to a 64-bit Oracle database is via the Oracle TNS Listener, irrespective of whether the database is local or remote.
    This is a general requirement for Oracle 32-bit clients connecting to an Oracle 64-bit database and is not specific to CA Gen.
