HTTP Packet capturing through TIM

I want to monitor HTTP traffic for an application running on a remote server through the software version of the TIM.
I have a small APM cluster consists of two collectors and a MOM. One collector is responsible for TIM collection and the another collector is for handling java agents.
The details of the TIM system is given below.
System Type : Virtual Machine(Image is running through VMAWARE Workstation)
Operating System : RHEL5
Network Mode
: Bridged (Replicates a physical connection state )

TIM can now communicate with assigned collector and TIM set up page is also accessible through browser. From the documentation available in the CA Support, I have got
an impression that the next necessary step towards capturing http packets in TIM needs either using of a TAP or port spanning. Now I do not have any software controller
for the switch we are using through which the port spanning could be done. Is there any other way around/ tweaking through which we can analyze http packets in the
TIM machine and the report will be sent to the collector?
