CA Tuesday Tip: (CA IDMS) Refreshing dialogs compiled with ADSOBCOM

ADSOBCOM can be used to compile an ADS dialog in batch but it does not mark the PDE to new copy in the CV like ADSC does.

To enable the changes made with ADSOBCOM you need to issue a DCMT V PROGRAM dialog_name NEW COPY command so the new load module with the changes is loaded.

Also if the dialog is checked out, ADSC will still show the old dialog structure from its chekout queue afer the DCMT VARY, not from the new load module.

You will need to go into ADSC and select DELETE on the main menu then 1 for 'Delete changes', this will cause ADSC to reflect the structure of the new load module.
