    Hello everyone.

The Excel 2010 Workbook attached to the case contains the first revision of the SiteMinder Logging Collected Information.

This document contains many spread sheets, each on a different area of the SiteMinder Product Family.

It is made for your use in customizing logs to a greater degree for your needs.

I hope it helps all of you.

    Sincerely,

    Josh Perlmutter

Someone At CA should update this,

I used R12.0 SP3 without a fed license to gather the basic information and noticed yesterday that the following are missing:
    [list]
    [*]Policy Server Profiler Component: Fed_Server
[*]Policy Server Profiler Component new in R12.5 and later: DLP
[*]Policy Server Profiler Data Point new in R12.51: Tenant
    [list]

Thank you for this overview, but the following logs/settings are missing:

    [list]
[*] policy server: trace logging configured via trace.conf
[*] web agent: trace logging configured via trace.conf
    [*] policy server: TLI logging
    [*] web agent: TLI logging
    [list]

This was started when I was at CA and as stated, it already needs updates.

However, i just doublechecked a policy server. What do you think trace.conf is? I'm pretty sure it is for network monitoriing, and not profiling the policy server trace you suggested above.

I know i did not go into TLI. if that is needed your best bet is to open a support request that they update this.
At least when i left, they did not have the time due to load for anyone to maintain this.

I am trying to parse the smtracedefault.log file and I am using the spreadsheet as guide for the fields... turns out that my log file does not seem to have the same fields (or maybe I'm just reading it wrong). Would you be willing to have a meeting with me so I can show what I am trying to do? Thanks

Thanks Josh -I probably have that somewhere, many items on the plate through the years

Adilson - the fields josh listed are defined in SMCONSOLE --> profiler --> configure settings - here you add components and data fields

    Steve,

Feel free to take over updating that, or find someone who can. it is s great reference tool.

    it just needs some updates.

would love to see techpubs pull it into their domain, but that's probably a pipe dream. even though that would mean it would be officially maintained.
